FCT Football Association (FA) chairman Adam Muktar Mohammed has lauded the recent collaboration with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, saying it can only inspire Nigerian youths to achieve greater heights.
Under the FCT FA partnership with the Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich Legend and Ambassador Giovane Elber was in Abuja to conduct a coaching clinic for FCT coaches.
The Bayern train then rolled on to Lagos for the Bayern Youth Cup Nigeria 2020, which was deservedly won by Kano.
“Bayern Munich are one of the top football brands in the world and it was a milestone to show case this huge brand with the hope that it will inspire our youths here,” Muktar Mohammed said.
“We are talking about a world-class club with great traditions and history.
“And it was this club who dispatched Giovane (Elber) and Lars to also show our coaches Bayern Munich training techniques.”
The selected players from Nigeria 2020 will present the country at this year’s Bayern Munich World Youth Cup in Germany in May.
Last year, Francis Daniel ‘Dada’ featured at the World Youth Cup in Germany and months later played for the Golden Eaglets at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.
