The Super Falcons want to keep winning all the way to becoming champions of Africa again, according to midfielder Deborah Abiodun.
On Sunday, the Super Falcons beat rivals Ghana 3-1 in a final warm-up to the 2024 WAFCON.
“This was the first step in our main aim for this competition, which is to keep winning,” said the USA-based midfielder.
“This was regardless of whether it is a friendly or a competitive game.
“We were able to get a result despite the weather.”
Nigeria have won the WAFCON a record nine times.
She said the warm-up against Ghana was a good test for the Super Falcons as they brought their physical game to bear on the friendly.
The Super Falcons will open their 2024 WAFCON campaign Sunday against Tunisia in Casablanca.
Kick-off time is 5pm.
