Werder Bremen leftback Felix Agu displaying his white bleached hair will tonight be given his Super Eagles debut by coach Eric Chelle against Ghana in the Unity Cup.
The Jollof Derby between Nigeria and Ghana will kick off by 7pm Nigerian time at the Brentford Stadium in West London.
Eric Chelle rates Agu, 25, very highly and has moved mountains to ensure he gets the player to feature for Nigeria at full international.
Agu was initially slated to only train with the Super Eagles in London, but he has now got his chance to fly with the three-time African champions after the German FA clarified that his two appearances for the U21s were friendlies and so he does not need to make a formal application to FIFA to change his international allegiance.
Chelle has been shopping for a top leftback as he prepares the Super Eagles for crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa in September.
The coach has not been impressed with Bruno Onyemaechi, who started at leftback in Rwanda in March before he was frozen out of the team against Zimbabwe in a second World Cup qualifier.
