Gernot Rohr’s time with the Super Eagles is over because he has not got anything more to offer according to former NFF vice-president Obinna Ogba.
Ogba was most critical of Rohr, whose contract runs out in June, because he has overlooked players playing in the domestic league.
“I am one of those who believes that the man has finished his time, he needs to go because he doesn’t have something to offer,” said Ogba, who is also the chairman of the senate committee on sports.
“Nigeria have talented players, but he failed to use them to prosecute matches and tournaments.
“Look at what happened at the World Cup. Ten minutes to go and a coach doesn’t know what to do to win that match.
“For that match alone, I think he should leave.”
The Ebonyi State FA chairman added: “Nigerians are not the managers of the Nigerian football, you need to find out whether the managers of Nigerian football, NFF wants him back.
“As a good coach, they have given you conditions. The only thing left for you is to accept and reject the ones you don’t like. The ones you don’t like you reject them and the ones you like you accept them.
“It is not a must that he coaches the Nigerian team.”
Obinna Ogba with due respect sir ,YOU ARE AN IDIOT. according to this story you were a vice chairman of NFA/NFF. You are one of the people that ruined Nigeria Football but now you are blaming somebody else for not picking the mediocre players the league has to play for Super Eagles. The best Nigerian players are currently those guys in the Super Eagles and Rhor is doing a marvelous job. Super Eagles is were the best of the best of Nigerian players should be in order to give Nigeria a very good and strong representation and not an avenue to market average players that our league has in the detriment of the team. I suggest you shot up and face your business of stealing Nigerian treasury which you guys are busy doing down there at the Senate.
Good one brother
Rhor has a great future with his selections of players. what NFF can do is to bring some idea to him . I believe if NFF and Rhor works greatly together without pride….the Super Engles will be a superb team
Please, someone should tell this man not to spoil Nigerian football as they have spoiled Nigeria. This is the only thing that gives us joy and any attempt to jeopardize it will be met with stiff resistance.
I guess they have to sell their paper otherwise the wouldn’t be giving such people the airtime they don’t deserve.
