Sierra Leone captain Momoh Kamara fired a hat-trick to stun the Young Pharaohs for his team to go top of the group with four points from two matches after they drew their opening game.
The host nation took the lead in first half stoppage time, before Sierra Leone staged a remarkable comeback after the break with Kamara’s treble and a penalty goal by Sallieu Bah.
Egypt are second with three points, while South Africa also have three points after Shakeel April snatched the match winner to pip Tanzania 1-0 in the other Group A clash.
Zambia have a point, while Tanzania are yet to record any after both teams played a game each.
Action will begin in Group B today, when the Flying Eagles take on Tunisia and Morocco will be up against Kenya.
