Striker Promise David is now a major doubt for this weekend’s Belgian Championship Playoff clash at home against Genk after he hurt his foot for the top drawer against Club Brugge.
He was injured before the match: he twisted his ankle during the warm-up.
The on-from striker, who opted for Canada ahead of the Super Eagles, played for 45 minutes, but stayed inside after the break.
He will be examined today, said Union St.Gilloise coach Sébastien Pocognoli.
Union are top of the standings with 44 points after six rounds of the championship playoffs, a point ahead of Club Brugge.
