Bafana Bafana of South Africa coach Hugo Broos has announced he will soon retire.
The 73-year-old Belgian coach has guided South Africa to the top of the Super Eagles World Cup qualifying group after six rounds of matches.
Bafana Bafana have 13 points, five points ahead of second-placed Rwanda.
“I will either stop in January, if we are not qualified for the World Cup. Or I will stop after the World Cup,” Broos announced.
“Stopping will really mean stopping,” he also added. “The job as a coach will be done. I know I’ve said that a few times, but this time it’s final.”
