Paul Omo Mukairu has told SCORENigeria he hopes for an improved performance in the second round of the Turkish Super Lig after he scored in Antalyaspor big win.
Antalayspor thrashed second division BB Erzumspor 4-0 in a friendly with youngster Mukairu coming off the bench to score the fourth goal.
“It was a good test game for the team after the holidays as we get set for the second round of the league,” the 19-year-old striker told SCORENigeria
“The coming weeks will be crucial for the team and I believe with the hard work we have put in so far, we will move out of the relegation zone.”
He scored two goals in 16 appearances in the first round of the Super Lig.
Antalyaspor have now appointed a third coach this season.
They are 16th on the table with 15 points from 17 matches.
They welcome Gotzepe on Sunday, January 19, in continuation of the Super Lig.
