SCORENigeria can exclusively report that at least three NPFL players will make the Super Eagles final squad for the must-win 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The contract coach Eric Chelle signed with the NFF in January clearly stipulated that he calls up at least three players and were he to adhere strictly to this, three players from the home league will make the final cut.
This has made the former Mali coach to visit various NPFL match venues on his return from Europe recently.
The Super Eagles coach has since named four players from the domestic league on his 39-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers later this month.
The players are Ahmed Musa (Kano Pillars, Papa Daniel (Niger Tornadoes), Kayode Bankole (Remo Stars) and Ifeanyi Onyebuachi (Enugu Rangers).
