NFF head of protocol Oyetunde Aderibigbe has advised sports minister Sunday Dare to pursue the mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, which is the committed fight against corruption, rather than harass patriotic Nigerians who are exposing the rut that has overtaken Nigeria football.
Dare has threatened to slam a 10 billion Naira suit against Aderibigbe after claiming the NFF official defamed him on a Human Rights Radio programme.
“It is now glaring that Sunday Dare, the Youth and Sports Minister in Nigeria,
is shielding corruption,” Aderibigbe said.
“His actions will not deter me from fighting the corruption in NFF until the truth is affirmed.
“This is a distraction, but we remain focused until justice is achieved in Nigerian football.”
He added: “The whole world expected the youth and sports Minister to go frontally to fight corruption, a mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Government, in the sports sector to a standstill, rather the minister is threatening and harassing me with law suit.
“I am not afraid to go to court.”
