Former Super Eagles flying winger Tijjani Babangida has revealed his former club Ajax have agreed to make up the balance of the huge medical bill his family has incurred following a fatal car crash.
Last year, Babangida lost his younger brother and little son in the accident, his wife will have to undergo multiple surgeries, while he himself has been operated on in Holland.
‘Baba’ estimated that his medical bill could be as much as 200,000 Euros as he does not have a medical insurance in Europe.
Ajax have initiated crowd funding in this respect.
“Ajax have said they will make up the balance for the medical bill,” Babangida told Sports Zone on Lagos Talks FM
“Within two hours (of the initiative), we got over 150,000 Euros.
“I got great support in Nigeria and I am very grateful.
“I am also grateful for the support I have received in Holland.
“My wife will be happy again.”
