Victor Mbaoma, who scored Enyimba’s goal in a 2-1 loss at promoted Dakkada FC, has admitted it was a disappointment for his team to salvage a result in the NPFL clash.
“It was very painful to lose because it was just a minute to the end of the game (when the home team snatched the match winner),” Mbaoma lamented.
“Football can be crazy and every minute counts.
“But no one is to blame because we lose as a team and we win as a team.
“It’s still a long league and we believe we can only improve.”
The eight-time league champions are sixth on the NPFL standings.
On Wednesday, they host third-placed Lobi Stars and a win could shoot them back to title contention.
