Kelechi Iheanacho could well make a prompt return to England after he found La Liga tough going.
The Super Eagles forward has yet to score in the Spanish top league since his arrival as a free agent in the summer.
He signed a contract with Sevilla until June 2026 with an option for an additional year.
Reports have it that English Championship side Watford are willing to offer Iheanacho a loan until the end of the season.
Watford are struggling to score goals and manager Tom Cleverly believes Iheanacho has the experience of playing in the Championship with Leicester City last season to help them solve this problem.
They are ninth in the Championship standings, three points outside the promotion playoffs bracket.
