Kelechi Iheanacho was again in stellar form as Leicester City remain the closest challengers to Premier League leaders Liverpool, while there were also sparkling performances by the likes of Jamilu Collins and Anthony Nwakaeme across Europe.
5.Jamilu Collins
The Super Eagles defender showed true class as his club Paderborn recorded only their second victory in the German Bundesliga with a 1-0 win at Werder Bremen. The win lifted Paderborn off the foot of the table. Collins put his life on the line for all 90 minutes and was even booked in the 84th minute for his club to renew hope they could still stay up in the German top flight come the end of the season. They are now just four points from safety.
4.Frank Onyeka
Danish club FC Midtjylland are now banking on another Nigerian, Frank Onyeka, following the transfer of Paul Onuachu to Belgium and he has not disappointed after he snatched a late winner at Brondby. It was his second goal of the season. Midtjylland remain top of the standings with 50 points from 19 matches, seven points clear of their nearest rivals.
3.Semi Ajayi
The defender scored the opening goal in a 5-1 demolition of Swansea. The big home win ensured West Bromwich Albion consolidated their leadership of the English Championship with 45 points from 20 matches. He has now scored three league goals from his defensive position.
2.Anthony Nwakaeme
The winger is back among the goals for title-chasing Trabzonspor when they won 3-1 at struggling Antayaspor. It was his fourth goal in 14 league appearances. His club have now climbed to third place on the table, just four points behind Turkish Super Lig leaders Sivasspor.
1.Kelechi Iheanacho
The former Manchester City forward has extended his red-hot form in the Premier League with another goal and assist as Leicester City stay within touching distance of leaders Liverpool.
