Rivers United and defending champions Enugu Rangers today continued their push at the top of the NPFL standings.
Rivers United fought back from a goal down to beat Kwara United 2-1 at home, while Rangers held hosts Katsina United to a goalless draw.
Rivers are provisionally top of the table once again pending the result of the late kick-off between Remo Stars and Ikorodu City.
The Port Harcourt club have 32 points from 17 matches, while Remo Stars have 29 points with a game in hand.
Rangers are third on 28 points.
Shooting Stars are fourth on 27 points after a 2-0 home win over depleted Kano Pillars Friday.
Both fifth-placed El Kanemi Warriors and seventh-placed Niger Tornadoes were big winners today.
El Kanemi saw off visiting Abia Warriors 3-0, while Tornadoes bashed Sunshine Stars 4-1.
Akwa United remain rock bottom of the table after they fell 2-1 at Bayelsa United, just as Bendel Insurance are second from bottom after a 1-1 draw at Heartland.
