Libya have accused the Super Eagles of throwing their final home game against Rwanda in a 2025 AFCON qualifier so that they will not qualify for the continental tournament next year.

Libya have stoked more fire in the growing enimity between them and Nigeria after CAF last month awarded a botched AFCON qualifier to the Super Eagles.

Libya Akhbar newspaper reported that the Super Eagles 2-1 loss to Rwanda in Uyo left a lot of questions.

“On the other side of the group, Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to Rwanda on home ground added more controversy, especially since the result raised doubts about Nigeria’s intentions in this encounter,” the Libyan newspaper reported.

“The match between Nigeria and Rwanda was a shock to the Libyan fans.

“The fans expected a comfortable win for Nigeria, which would have kept Libya’s hopes alive if they defeated Benin. However, the scenario was contrary to expectations.

“Nigeria’s one-goal lead turned into a two-goal loss, as if the Green Eagles had abandoned their competitive spirit.

“The scene raised many questions in sports circles: Did Nigeria deliberately lose to eliminate Libya?”

However, Libya also failed to beat Benin at home to end any hopes to qualifying for the 2025 AFCON.

They face more sanctions after Benin complained that they were attacked after the scoreless draw in Tripoli Tuesday night.

The fear of losing to Nigeria at home led to wat the Libya authority did to eagles at their airport.
Not knowing that the Nigerian team can suddenly loose guard to the weakest team on earth. . the Nigerian super eagles can lose any game on a good day . Not to talk of bad day .
Maybe they would have gotten a win if the pilot was allowed to land in Benghazi.
They Nigeria eagles would have dance to the hotel , sing in the bus , make call to Europe and Africa and uyo , take pictures and posted online, telegram to histagram, and on match day do some party , and get tired in the last 20 mins of the match
And even conceded a penalty maybe the game would have ended Libya 1 Nigeria 0
And by now Libya wil be on there way by trekking to morroco on foot.
And no need to go to Court now .

I used to respect Lybia as a giant of football. But lately, say in the last 15 years, it has allowed dirty episodes and unprecedented shenanigans of kindergarten propensity to overshadow their good past.
Football has now changed and there are no more obvious winning horses before the race. Even Nigeria knows it too well no wonder they raised the pilot saga to buttress their victimisation. They wanted to win and they did.
Your drawing board should include firing those administrators of yours who bring netball issues to football. This is a beautiful game not meant for uncouth competitive tactics anymore. Many teams are now travelling with their food, drinks and water..because long ago many teams lost through the ‘mouth’. Just check in Europe how giants are being exposed by technology..they were used to winning through ‘hook n crook’. Why did you fail to beat Benin but still expected Nigeria to win?..to win for you while you embraced mediocrity and foul play outside the stadia..no ways ..a child at her mother’s back must also cling to the mother..cannot afford relaxing lest falling becomes the fate.
I grew up loving your referees and your teams when they played in Zimbabwe..they looked professional and polished.. eeeh yes but now you have to do the doable to get the best…stop mudslinging adventures. Be ethical and morally upright in order to regain your past glory. We still love you honestly Lybia.

Libya, you should have win before any hope of qualifying, but instead you draw your march against your contestant, so how is it Nigeria problems?
