Tolu Arokodare is the joint leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League and despite speculations over his future, his club Genk have said he has agreed to extend his contract.
Arokodare, who is in the Super Eagles radar, has scored eight goals thus far and Genk are five points clear at the top of the league table.
Het Nieuwsblad reported that during a general meeting, Genk head of football Dimitri de Conde said that even though has had to compromise on 14 Million Euros to the tax authorities, the club are not under financial pressure to sell their best players.
“Coveted players such as El Ouahdi and Arokodare already agreed to an extended stay in Genk a few months ago”, further reported Het Nieuwsblad.
The 23-year-old Arokodare has a contract with Genk until June 2027.
His Transfermarkt valuation is 6.50 Million Euros.
He recently opened up that he rejected a massive deal that would have taken him to Turkish giants Trabzonspor.
