The NPFL Player of Week 11 is veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali, who is proving to be like a good wine as he continues to shine at ripe old age of 44.
Rabiu Ali was the late match winner for Kano Pillars to record their second road win of the season at Bendel Insurance.
He kept his nerves to score from the penalty spot for Kano Pillars to shoot to fifth on the table with 17 points from 11 matches.
He has now scored six goals in the NPFL this season.
His exploits have not gone unnoticed as 10 years after he featured for the CHAN Eagles, the experienced midfield star will be recalled for all-important playoff against arch-rivals Ghana next month.
His experience, vision and goals stand him out of the crowd.
It’s now 19 straight seasons and still going strong.
He will be a most valuable addition to the home-based Super Eagles as they aim to stop Ghana to feature at the 2025 CHAN in February after missing out on the previous two tournaments.
