SCORENigeria has been informed that Flying Eagles midfielder Sulyman Alabi ‘Jojo’ is now in stable condition after a horrific head injury in Wednesday night’s WAFU B U20 final against Ghana.
“The player suffered a serious head injury during an aerial collision and had to be withdrawn from the match with immediate effect,” a top source informed SCORENigeria
“Thankfully, the medical support was immediate and adequate and he is now very stable.”
Attacking midfielder of El Kanemi Warriors Alabi was a second-half substitute in the WAFU Cup final.
The Flying Eagles retained the WAFU B U20 championship after they beat perennial rivals Ghana 2-1 in Lome, Togo, Wednesday night.
Both teams will feature at next year’s U20 AFCON in South Africa.
