Coach Augustine Eguavoen has said he plans a heart-to-heart talk with Victor Boniface after the Bayer Leverkusen striker again fired blanks for the Super Eagles.
Victor Boniface has yet to score for the Super Eagles in eight appearances.
He started tonight’s 2025 AFCON qualifier against Libya, but he was hauled off for Taiwo Awoniyi in the 74th minute after he again failed to open his Super Eagles goal account.
This was after the coach had backed the 23-year-old striker to score in tonight’s game.
He said the player has to be a lot more decisive.
“I will sit down with him (Victor Boniface),” the Super Eagles caretaker coach revealed.
“If he decides on time, Boniface will score a lot of goals for Super Eagles.
“I will speak to him about that.”
WE SHOULD STOP CELEBRATING FLUKE WINNING.
WE DEFEATED IVORY COAST 1-0 IN AFCON GROUP STAGE BY PENALTY and we are celebrating fluke winning,
WHERE AS UNKNOWN SMALL TEAM, EQUATORIAL GUINEA DEFEATING THEM (IVORY COAST) 5-0 EASILY.
SUPER EAGLE TEAM IS NOT A TEAM WE CAN BOAST OF FOR FUTURE.
*** OR IS THERE ANY NIGERIA FANS THAT CAN TRULY BOAST OF THE TEAM THAT THEY CAN QUALIFY FOR WORLD CUP WITH THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE OF PLAY ????.
COMMON RWANDA THAT WILL STRUGGLE TO PLAY DRAW WITH THEM LAST TIME, WERE BEATEN 3-0 BY ORDINARY BENIN REPUBLIC.
***WHAT A SHAME!!!!!!!!
U need to half ur first eleven. Some players that started the match coming from premier league, ball in flight don dey carry their leg on ground.. this is a parable.
Wen bonfeere and westerhof was handling u . He will do elimination by substitution.
The moment he get in a guy and the guy does a magic, that guy becomes his player . And those once that didn’t perform will never near the team again until they wake up ..
Reason y he stayed long and won games
A situation were players are getting invite because of fear of a former friend or board member wil not do the margic .
The boni needed support, the iwobi two goals throw away is funny. Ball dey carry his leg .
The same Rwanda was beaten by Benin. Roar has toitorse Brain . U allow ur opponent to expose their defense too. So stuck ur middle a situation were onyeka suddenly became a 7 and aina was outplayed. Colliding with onyeka movement I see for the first time .
The team needed character, dey don’t have to start newly everytime.
If Comoros is coming . If eagles can attack and attack. They should also be able to defend and defend.
I remember Algiers 90 first game was difficult tbut the coach introduce a system that got him into the final.. .. see how yekini stopped Zambia
Can Boniface do such . It was the coach plan to get a win at all cost ..
I remember Zimbabwe Nigeria away the game was 3 zero . . From midfielders action to goals .
Nigeria Cameroon under roar one two wide combination from middle create the goals .
Na so . Let me stop here. For now.
It is duty of coach to give advice to his guys .
Some guys from some league in the team are afraid of kicking the ball not to talk of heading the ball . They only give good and simple passes to the next person around them . No bi juju be that .?
Make ur team strong by doing elimination by substitution. Any player that do not perform will be replaced by players doing good things in their clubs.
But the fear of friends and colleagues and board member is noticed in the team list.
If I have the opportunity to invite guys I see playing good games in their club and play against your first team. My team wil score u every 15 minutes.
