New Flying Eagles win first training match

The newly-assembled Flying Eagles under coach Aliyu Zubairu today pipped Water FC of Abuja 1-0 in their first training game.

Match winner was Bayelsa United striker Rabiu Abdullahi.

Initial reports said the Flying Eagles were very organised and played as a team despite the short time they have been in training camp in Abuja.

The U20s are preparing for next month’s WAFU B U20 AFCON qualifying tournament in Togo, which will decide the teams for next year’s U20 AFCON.
