Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun was forced out of Rangers big win over Ross County to raise fresh injury fears.
Injury-prone Balogun fell poorly at a corner kick in the 38th and he appeared to have injured the back of his head or neck.
He was attended to by medics, but eventually walked off on his own not to continue the match.
Scottish giants Rangers are already short of central defenders with Robin Propper on the treatment table.
