A senior official has told SCORENigeria that the NFF have secured a sponsor who will pay the salaries of the new Super Eagles coach.
“We already have a sponsor to pay the salary of the new Super Eagles coach,” the high-ranking official revealed.
“There will be no problem paying the new coach.”
The payment of the salary of a new foreign coach has always been a bone of contention as cash-strapped NFF have defaulted in this regard.
Even when Jose Peseiro took a huge pay cut, it was the Federal Government that had to come to the rescue by clearing 13 months of his outstanding salaries.
The past NFF administration got oil company Aiteo to pay the salaries of the Super Eagles coach and those of other national teams.
