Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka has lavished praise on U20 star Benjamin Fredrick after his seamless transition to the first-team squad of Premier League club Brentford.
Both players have been training hard for the kick-off of the new season next month after Fredrick was promoted from the youth team.
“He has been showing his class in training,” raved Onyeka about the ball-playing central defender, who could also play in midfield.
“He has not been intimidated and rather he has been holding his own.”
It is understood that the graduate of the Simoiben Academy Kaduna could even make his Premier League debut early in the new season based on what he has delivered in pre-season.
Brentford kick off their campaign at home against fellow Londoners Crystal Palace Sunday August 18.
