Former Golden Eaglets star Victor Udoh is pushing for regular first-team football in the new season in Belgium with Antwerp.
Last season, he made 14 appearances for the main team mainly as a late substitute.
On Saturday, the 19-year-old Udoh, who could play as a centre-forward or left winger, started in his club’s test game before the new season gets underway Friday.
He started as Antwerp lost 3-2 to second division club Francs Borains.
Antwerp, who also parade Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf, will open their new season campaign away at Sporting Charleroi Sunday.
