The 2024/2025 season will be a full-scheduled league after the participating clubs voted for this format at their Annual General Meeting today.
The league organisers had favoured an abridged season mainly because of the huge financial burden caused by a full season as the league has yet to attract a title sponsor.
“I can confidently tell you that the 2024/25 season will be a full format and not an abridged one,” disclosed chairman of the NPFL club owners Okey Kpalukwu.
It was also decided that the new season will kick off on August 31.
