The Enugu State Government has rewarded Enugu Rangers with a cash reward of 50 Million Naira for emerging NPFL champions.
Rangers won their eighth NPFL crown this past season after topping the table with 70 points from 38 matches.
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah said the people and Government are proud of the team and tasked the team to win more laurels.
“We have made us proud and we will in turn make you happy,” Governor Mbah remarked when he hosted the team to a special dinner at the Government House.
“We are going to provide the sum of 50 Million Naira to you in addition to other non-cash rewards that will implant you in our state and immortalise you.”
He added: “However, recall that I had always said to you that success abhors complacency.
“We still have quite a huge space in our trophy cabinet. So, we still need more (trophies).”
