SCORENigeria has reliably gathered that the head coach position of the Flying Eagles will soon be declared vacant for interested coaches to apply.
“Yes, plans are on for the position of the Flying Eagles head coach to be advertised and for interested coaches to apply,” a top source informed SCORENigeria
Ladan Bosso led the country’s U20s to the recent African Games in Ghana.
However, the team failed to go past the group stage of the football event amid heavy criticisms.
The highly-experienced coach guided the Flying Eagles to the quarterfinal of the FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina last year.
Several of the players from that tournament have since made lucrative transfers across Europe with striker Emmanuel Umeh the latest to do so.
Umeh has joined top Swiss club FC Zurich on a five-year contract from Botev Plodiv of Bulgaria.
It’s really a shame that those incharge of NFF in Nigeria have never kicked football in their lives and as such don’t understand the game, that’s why they think that hiring a foreign coach brings success.
Why always Ladan Bosso? Is it a family chieftaincy title?
