The 71-year-old Belgian coach has now said Bafana Bafana were the better team when both teams clashed in an AFCON semifinal in February and but for luck would have been in the tournament final.

“I don’t want to lose this game.”
Super Eagles reached the 2023 AFCON final when they edged past South Africa 4-2 on penalties after both teams played out a 1-1 draw in Bouake.
