Ademola Lookman will start in attack for Atalanta in tonight’s UEFA Europa League Final in Dublin, while fellow Super Eagles stars Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella are on the bench for Bayer Leverkusen.
It’s the first-ever European final for Italian club Atalanta, while Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen are on a 51-game unbeaten run.
Leverkusen are also seeking a treble of Europa League and German Cup after they won the Bundesliga championship for the first time in their history.
Atalanta beat Leverkusen both home and away in the Round of 16 of the 2021/22 season edition of the competition.
Lookman said his club need to complete the job with victory tonight.
“This season, we have been very, very strong in the league, Coppa Italia and Europa League,” he said.
“Two finals, it has been a great season.
“We need to finish the job and get the win for the club and fans.”
Kick-off time is 8pm in Nigeria.
