This month, his Serie A club Atalanta lost 1-0 to Juventus in the final of the Coppa Italia.
Tonight, he and his club are up against undefeated Bayer Leverkusen, who parade fellow Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface, who absence caused by injury meant Lookman was one of the stars of the last AFCON.
Atalanta beat Bayer Leverkusen home and away in the Round of 16 of the competition two years ago.
Will they now be the team to end their 51-game unbeaten run?
