Another Nigerian star who has been primed for a club exit is Chuba Akpom.
The 28-year-old forward has had very poor game time (10 starts in 46) at the Dutch club this current season, with a move away looking to be the best option.
Ajax insider and global Journalist, Lentin Goodijk, has given a hint on Akpom’s future.
“I don’t think he will accept sitting on the bench. Certainly not if serious clubs come for him, which I expect,” he told Soccernews.
“It could easily take until August, when the Premier League clubs start to panic a bit. Then they all have him on their list.
“He can be picked up for 15 Million Euros, which is absolutely nothing for Premier League clubs.”
Akpom, who has pledged his international future to the Super Eagles, still has about four years still left on his current contract.
