After this weekend’s round of matches, the NPFL will take a month’s break to allow for Rivers United to play their outstanding matches following their involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The top-tier league will go on a one-month break after completing the Matchday 32 round of matches this weekend to resume exactly 30 days later on May 25 and 26.
Rivers have five matches outstanding; against Niger Tornadoes, Abia Warriors, Sunshine Stars, Kwara United and Remo Stars in Ikenne.
On Thursday they beat Katisna United 2-0 at home.
They have now climbed to 12th position with 40 points from 26 matches.
The President Federation Cup will also take place during that break period with the round of 64 games.
