Victor Osimhen today returned to full training with the Super Eagles, but stand-in skipper William Ekong again stayed out for the second day running.
Napoli striker Osimhen was full of running and energy as coach Jose Peseiro put the team through their paces leading up to Friday’s AFCON quarterfinal against dark horses Angola.
In the training behind closed doors, captain Ahmed Musa and Bright Osayi-Samuel also did not feature.
Ahmed Musa did not complete the training Monday after he suffered an injury that forced him to use ice packs.
Antwerp midfielder Alhassan Yusuf is pushing for a starting XI spot after he has recovered fully from a thigh injury.
However, Peseiro already has a settled side at this AFCON and save for injury to his regulars, his team will be unchanged against Palaccas Negras of Angola.
As the Super Super Eagles remain in the knockout rounds of the AFCON, the team again practiced taking penalty kicks.
The Eagles were good from the penalty spot.
The winners between the Super Eagles and Angola will do battle against the winners of the other quarterfinal between Cape Verde and the Round of 16 clash between Morocco and South Africa.
