Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca has disclosed AFCON-bound Wilfred Ndidi is injured and so was not fit enough to play in his team’s home win Monday.
This was relayed by journalist Owynn Palmer-Atkin, who covers Leicester City extensively.
This could be a major injury blow for the Super Eagles leading up to the AFCON.
Leicester City opened up a 10-point gap at the top of the English Championship table on the back of a 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town.
But they did so without both Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, who is nursing a muscular injury that kept him out of his club’s previous game as well.
Both players are now due to join up the Super Eagles squad in Dubai today even as the extent of their injuries has yet to be ascertained.
Why is Alhassan Yusur not in the team , he should be part of the camp incase Ndidi opts out due to injury.
He is in for the AFCON now as replacement for injured Ndidi
