The agent of Victor Osimhen has said the striker has built something fantastic at Napoli, while denying that he wanted his client to quit the Italian champions.
Osimhen has agreed a contract extension that now keeps him at Napoli until June 2026.
The striker’s agent, Roberto Calenda, praised Osimhen for his exploits with Napoli while also putting the records straight as regards his position on the player’s future at the club.
This season he also scores goals, despite the injury. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that he took Napoli to their first league title in 33 years. Together with his teammates, he has built something fantastic,” Calenda told Corriere dello Sport.
Calenda also said both he and the player were desirous of extending the contract.
“I have heard that I did not want him to extend, but that I instead wanted him to move to another club. That is not true,” he said.
“I represent Victor and I want what is best for him. We have both wanted an extension since last summer.”
The agent was tight-lipped about the details of the new contract, however.
