Victor Boniface has continued his fine run in his favourite competition – the UEFA Europa League – after he netted his third goal in the competition for Bayer Leverkusen to beat hosts Qarabag of Azerbaijan 2-1.
The 22-year-old striker, who was top scorer in last season’s Europa League, put away a penalty in stoppage time for the match winner.
Bayer Leverkusen thus maintained their perfect record of four wins in as many matches.
They stay top of Group H with 12 points from four matches.
