Saudi Arabia will stage a most befitting 2034 FIFA World Cup because they have all it takes to do so, according to FCT FA chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed.
The oil-rich kingdom has formally notified FIFA they plan to host the 2034 World Cup.
This comes after the huge successes recorded by Qatar at last year’s World Cup.
“Saudi Arabia has more than it takes to host a most befitting World Cup,” Mouktar Mohammed said in an interview on Freedom Radio Kano.
“They are a global world leader, they are blessed.
“They have the infrastructure, the hotels, good road network, good airports, security, these are the basic requirements and they have it.
“This country is much more than a religious destination. It is a country for studies and for business.”
He further stated that Nigeria should position itself to benefit from Saudi Arabia hosting the World Cup in 2034.
“We can enjoy a lot of goodwill and benefits from this World Cup by organising ourselves so as to benefit from the opportunities this partnership can present,” he urged.
