For the second straight week, Victor Boniface is the most outstanding Nigeria star overseas as his goals helped Bayer Leverkusen open the group stage of the UEFA Europa League with a big win and then days later for the club to stay within striking distance of defending champions Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

5.Cyriel Dessers
The 28-year-old striker was the match winner for Rangers with his first goal in the Scottish league against a resolute Motherwell. His club are battling to topple bitter city rivals Celtic at the top and they stand a better chance with the goals of the Super Eagles striker, who has proved he knows his way to goal in Holland, Belgium and Italy.
4.Igho Ogbu
The former Flying Eagles central defender was among the goals for Slavia Praha to win 2-0 at Swiss Side Servette in the UEFA Europa League. He has continued to justify the hefty 2 Million Euros transfer price tag Slavia met to sign him from Norwegian club Lillestrom in Janaury. It is now only a matter of time before he is rewarded with a much-deserved Super Eagles call-up.
3.Moses Simon
The Super Eagles winger was on target for the second straight weekend to lift FC Nantes in the Ligue 1 standings. He scored a goal from the penalty spot and assisted two other goals for ‘The Canaries’ to win an eight-goal thriller against local rivals FC Lorient. After a rather indifferent campaign last season, Moses Simon has to prove he is not on a decline this term.
2.Ademola Lookman
He is another Super Eagles forward who has rediscovered his form after he scored again for Atalanta to beat Cagliari Calcio 2-0 in Serie A. He has now scored twice this season and his club have climbed to the top reaches of the Serie A as a result. Last season, he netted 13 goals in his first season in Italy and he will again be aiming for another double-digit tally this season.
1.Victor Boniface
The newly capped Super Eagles striker is certainly going great guns with German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen even after he scooped the Bundesliga Player of the Month for August as well as the Rookie of the Month. On Thursday, the big centre-forward scored a goal and provided an assist for Leverlusen to thrash Swedish club BK Hacken in the Europa League. He then followed that up with a brace in the Bundesliga home game against Heidenheim to take his tally in the German top league to six goals. He has now scored eight goals and made three assists in all competitions for his German club. Victor Boniface is a different type of striker from Victor Osimhen as he loves to be involved in the play in midfield and he has continued to show he is a worthy option to the Napoli striker for the Super Eagles.
