Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen are interested in signing Nathan Tella to join a strike force that also has a fellow Nigerian, Victor Boniface.
Sky Sports in Germany has reported Bayer have tabled a bid of over 15 Million Pounds for the flying winger.
However, Southampton want to keep him or for Bayer to step up their bid to between 21 and 26 Million Pounds.
Last season, Tella shone on loan at Burnley with his goals and assists helping them to win promotion back to the Premier League as runaway winners of the English Championship.
He has long pledged his international allegiance to the Super Eagles.
Striker Victor Boniface has joined the Bundesliga club from Belgian club Union St.Gilloise this summer for over 20 Million Euros.
