Despite a very tempting offer by Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, Napoli president has maintained that Victor Osimhen is staying put at the Serie A champions.
Al Hilal have offered to pay Osimhen a staggering one Million Euros-a-week, which will dwarf whatever Napoli will offer the Super Eagles striker.
But today Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis said Osimhen is committed to staying at the Italian club.
“Osimhen will stay here. He won’t leave,” he Sky Sport.
“He’s under contract until June 2025, where should he go?
“Contracts should be respected.
“We’re on the same page with Osimhen since day 1. Don’t be worried.”
Earlier today, it was reported that Napoli have improved the salary of their star striker.
They have proposed to pay him Nine Million Euros a year, which is about twice what he currently earns.
There will also be a release clause on the new contract, which will run till 2027.
