The agent of Victor Osimhen has dismissed media reports the striker will not extend his contract at Napoli and would rather explore other options.
Mattino reported Osimhen will prefer to look at other options than to renew his contract with Napoli, but his agent Roberto Calenda has now dismissed this as “fake news”.
“I read in the Mattino that “Calenda has no intention of renewing in the summer and that he wants to explore all the streets of the market first. Fake news,” Calenda tweeted.
Amid rife transfer speculations, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has said Osimhen’s entourage has agreed in principle for the striker to extend his contract, which runs out in 2025, for a further two years.
Napoli new coach Rudi Garcia has also come out to say the Super Eagles striker is happy to stay put at the Serie A champions despite growing speculations concerning his future.
