Football fans across Nigeria have already demanded for the immediate dismissal of Jose Peseiro as Super Eagles coach.
NFF President Ibrahim Gusau has announced that the fans will be allowed to decide the fate of Peseiro, whose contract ends on June 30.
The vote will be conducted on social media and telephone polls.
Followers of SCORENigeria on Facebook have already made their position very clear – Peseiro should go as he has not improved the Super Eagles.
“Sack with immediate effect,” demanded Lajest Lajman commented on the social media platform.
“This man has collapsed our national team, PLEASE sack him,” urged Ismail Ajibola.
“How many times are we going to comment about this man? Even the NFF know that the man is not good for the job’, if they like let them make him the owner of the Super Eagles that’s their business,” said Uchenna Dino.
“It will not affect me for watching other teams that are playing well, I had dropped the problem of this nation by the side because our leaders don’t care for the country any more, all they are interested is to looting public funds.”
Some other Facebook followers even went on to suggest that local coaches like Emmanuel Amuneke and Finidi George replace the 63-year-old Portuguese coach.
“Sack him urgently and replace him with Emmanuel Amunike,” commented Akenbor Kelvin.
Kolade Arigbede said: “I personally prefer an indigenous Gaffer that understands the Nigerian Football culture.
“My submission is therefore for Jose Pesseiro to be asked to go. Finidi George of Enyimba should step in if he is interested in the job.
“Please, I want a coach that will do a “surgical operation” on the “Super Eagles'” goal keeping department and our midfield.”
