Napoli and Victor Osimhen’s agent have failed to agree on a new deal for the striker in a first meeting.
Sky Italia reported that Friday’s meeting was attended by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda.
The Osimhen situation was discussed in detail.
The meeting was relaxed and peaceful during which the Napoli chief offered to extend the striker’s contract, which will be up in June 2025, for two more years.
However, it was further reported that the meeting could not agree on a contract renewal as Osimhen is keen on a transfer that will allow him to earn a lot more money.
The agent is now expected to brief Osimhen after which more meetings between the parties are expected to take place.
Napoli want at least 150 Million Euros for the player and they claim they are yet to receive a bid that matches this.
