Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will battle Burkina Faso in a rematch for the 2019 African Games Gold medal on Friday in Morocco.
The Gold medal final match will be played Friday from 5pm.
Both teams played out a 1-1 draw when they first clashed in a Group A game, which the Flying Eagles ought to have won but for poor finishing.
On Tuesday, the Flying Eagles thanks to the heroics of goalkeeper Detan Ogundare avenged a 2019 U20 AFCON loss to Mali by beating their West African rivals 5-4 on penalties after both teams failed to score in regulation and extra time.
Burkina Faso also reached the final after they edged past Senegal 5-4 on penalties after they played out a 1-1 draw even after extra time.
Nigeria clinched Gold at the 1973 games they staged.
They won bronze in Congo Brazzaville four years ago.
