Striker Emmanuel Umeh and midfielder Tochukwu Nadi from Bulgarian club Botev Plodiv have joined up with the Flying Eagles World Cup training camp in Abuja.
The two players trained with the rest of the squad today at the FIFA Goal Project under the supervision of coach Ladan Bosso.
The two players were held back by their Bulgarian club for them to feature in a league game at home against Levski Sofia that marked the opening of their team’s new stadium.
Umeh, 19, played the entire game, which his team lost 1-0.
In the meantime, the Flying Eagles have begun the comprehensive pre-tournament medical assessment (PCMA) as they get set to fly out of the country next weekend.
Officials informed SCORENigeria that 25 players will make the trip to Argentina next Saturday.
The U20 World Cup will kick off on May 20 in Argentina.
