Chuba Akpom scooped the English Championship Player of Season, Jerome Akor was again match winner in Norway, while Peter Olayinka returned from a ban to make an immediate impact in the Czech Republic.

5.Jerome Akor
The former Flying Eagles striker was again the match winner for Norwegian club Lillestrom after his first-half goal against defending champions Molde. He hit target on 37 minutes after Molde had cancelled out the home team’s early opener. Akor was also the match winner the previous week with a dramatic headed goal in stoppage time in a seven-goal thriller against the first team he tried out with in Norway, Stromsgodset. Lillestrom have now climbed to fourth in the standings with six points from three matches after they lost their season opener to Viking.
4.Peter Olayinka
It was a most befitting comeback for the forward after he had served out a four-match ban when he scored in a 3-0 home win over Bohemians 1905 to take Slavia Praha back to the top of the standings ahead of city rivals Sparta Praha. Slavia Praha will now successfully retain the Czech championship should they keep off Sparta with two rounds of matches till the end of the season.

3.Chuba Akpom
The former Arsenal ace has been named as the Player of the Season in the English Championship on the back of his 28 goals for Middlesbrough this term. Akpom, who has pledged his international future to the Super Eagles, described it as an “amazing season” and said he kept pushing even through some trying times. ‘Boro boss Michael Carrick converted Akpom to a second striker and that “had a massive effect on my career” he attributed. He and Nathan Tella of Burnley also made the Championship Team of the Season.
2.Isaac Success
He fired his first goal of the Serie A season in a 3-0 home win by Udinese against US Cremonese. Last season, he scored twice in the Italian top league. The former schoolboy sensation is slowly fighting his way back to the top after he lost his way in England with Watford.

1.Kelechi Iheanacho
‘Seniorman Kels’ inspired a remarkable fight back by Leicester City to beat Wolves 2-1 with an equaliser from the penalty spot as they moved out of the relegation zone. He has now scored five goals in the Premier League this season. The relegation battle in the Premier League could go down to the final day of the season and ‘The Foxes’ will most certainly be counting on goals by Iheanacho to shoot them to safety.
