Coach Jose Peseiro will line up a formidable starting XI against Guinea Bissau today in Abuja in a bid to win and seal qualification to the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
Victory today for the Eagles will book their passage to the AFCON, which will be played in January 2024.
Boavista of Portugal defender Bruno Onyemaechi will finally make his full international debut for Nigeria at left back after he was an unused sub in a friendly against Portugal in November.
Fenerbache ace Bright Osayi-Samuel impressed against Portugal and so will keep his place at rightback.
Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo and Alex Iwobi make up the midfield, while the attack will be led by Napoli start striker Victor Osimhen with Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze the wingers.
Chukwueze has been in imperious form for Villarreal this season and it is hoped he extends such form to the national team today.
