OGC Nice did not list striker Terem Moffi for tonight’s Ligue 1 home game against his former club FC Lorient based on an agreement between the two clubs.
A top source told SCORENigeria: “Terem was not eligible to play the game. Both clubs agreed that he will only be available for selection after his permanent transfer to Nice is finalised.”
Moffi is on loan to Nice, who are obliged to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Nice were held to a 1-1 draw by Lorient today.
Moffi has scored a total of 15 goals in Ligue 1 this season – 12 goals for Lorient and three goals for Nice.
He is now due to join the Super Eagles for a 2023 AFCON qualifier against Guinea Bissau this week in Abuja.
