Jamilu Collins has told SCORENigeria he hopes to improve on his performance after he made his Bundesliga debut for SC Paderborn 07 Saturday.
Paderborn lost the opening game of the new Bundesliga season 3-2 at Bayer Leverkusen with Collins on from start to finish.
However, the Super Eagles defender said he was pleased to make his bow in the German top flight and vowed his team will bounce back from a losing start.
“I am pleased to have played my first Bundesliga match, but it was so unfortunate we lost the match,” he said.
This was the first match for me in the Bundesliga, it is an honour and a thing of pride. I will forever cherish the moment.
“I’m satisfied with my performance but I can only get better.
“I just want to continue to improve. I want to do more for my club and hopefully we’ll get bounce back.”
Collins started out with Paderborn in the German third division.
